RMS Set Up and Operational Training

Posted by MOM team on 30 Apr 2020

The training is delivered in one hour sessions and will generally follow this format;

1. Input property information, users, accounting settings & codes, sundry charges and either add owners or check owner import if it is ready 2. Add room types & rooms (as they are set up in your current reservation system), attach owners to rooms and add global owner expenses. 3. Set up tariffs 4. Set up housekeeping, correspondence and look up tables which are various filters used within 5. OTA channel set up/connection checks with Sue Hansen

At this point the database set up is completed to the point that we can move into operational training. If relevant the RMS data import team will also test the reservation import at this stage.

6. Reservations including make, arrive, depart, receipts, charges etc. 7. Owner accounts including expenses and daily balance process 8. This session is usually a Q & A based on the previous two sessions + housekeeping process 9. Set up RMS online options including RMS IBE or using the API, channel management overview & how online travel agents/commissions work in RMS 10. Add or import forward reservations and any trust receipts held after you have paid out the month that you are switching from.

Go live day & first month

11. OTA channel connections & EOD processes 12. Set up and process 3rd party suppliers 13. Bank reconciliation & 3 Way Balance 14. Pre EOM – bulk owner charges 15. First EOM trust rollover & Pay Owner 16. Contingency

How fast we move from one session to the next depends on what we achieve during each session and how much you need to complete between sessions. Three weeks is the standard lead time with a session every two or three days.
