What is Aircamp and what MOM have actioned.

Who is Aircamp?

Aircamp is an Aussie designed App for searching and booking camping accommodation.  With the demise of Turu (I know, I know... it didn’t convert much but it was a free place to list our information that was used extensively to research site accommodation) there has been a real gap in relevant places to advertise our sites that don’t charge listing fees.  As you know, there isn’t much cream in site profits without seeing some actual conversions, so free listings with no payments unless bookings are flowing in is what we’re looking for.

Why are they on our radar?

The app is well designed and our suggested improvements have been actioned immediately increasing functionality. Most importantly it is free to list with only a 10% commission on converted bookings.  Even better still, payment is via virtual credit card with the nett amount of the reservation released two days before guest arrival.  So no after-stay administration to get your money or commission invoices to pay.

How do they connect and make payments?

We have tested the connections with RMS and Newbooks and both are simple and pass through rate, availability and minimum stays successfully.

What we have done so far

We have claimed your Aircamp listing and updated the images and copy.  I know a few of you have received emails from our behind-the-scenes activity and are wondering why Sue Hansen is your new campsite manager!  We will create you a username for each property after the connections have been completed and checked.

What do you need to do?

Just one thing - CLICK HERE - before COB Thursday 22 August to give me permission to connect your reservation system to the direct Aircamp connection in your channel manager.

When do you need to action by?

1 September is their official launch date so connections should ideally be completed and checked by this date to take full advantage of any marketing campaigns around this launch.  If you give me permission to connect your Aircamp listing by Thursday 22 August this will give me a few weeks to connect and test all connections before the launch!
