MOM's Platform Profiles
Posted by Massey Online Management on 5 May 2022

Just when you think you're up to date on the latest trends, technology and terminology in the online space... BAM, it's switched up yet again and you're left lost, bewildered and googling what "no cap" means.
That's where we come in! The MOM team have been running a platform profile series where we give you a quick run down on the social media apps making waves in the online world to make it a bit easier to keep up.
Here are some of our recent features:
Clubhouse
Described as an ‘audio-based’ social media app, Clubhouse allows users to communicate exclusively in audio chat rooms. Using the app feels a little bit like eavesdropping into people’s conversations and the only imagery you’ll see are users profile pictures.

Reddit is ranked as the 19th most popular site worldwide and is comprised of a huge collection of forums called 'subreddits' that cover just about any topic you can think of. Users can upvote or downvote posts which effect their visibility on the site.

Discord
Originally created for the gaming community, Discord has since evolved into a popular chat application allowing users to join or create 'servers' to connect with friends or different communities that interest them.

TikTok
From sponsoring the cricket to ads popping up all over the internet, it seems like no matter where you look, TikTok is there. This fast growing platform has over one billion monthly active users (not just Gen Z!) and is the sixth most-used social platform. Have you got this one downloaded? It has some of us in the office addicted...

This is an ongoing series happening over on our Facebook page so stay tuned for more! And as always, if you have any questions about these apps or want to learn how you can harness social media to elevate your business, get in touch with our friendly team.
